I do believe it is Hypostomus Plecostomus or Pterygoplichthys Scrophus with my belief leaning towards Hypostomus Plecostomus. I check my pleco and there are no spikes - it was just a phenomena of the picture that made it look like it had spikes.

I went to the LFS (petsolutions.com local store) and they refunded me my money according to a common pleco with no hassles at all.
