at my lfs over the weekend, i noticed one of their plecos looked different, instead of being the regular "dirt" pleco, this one looked like a very ugly gold nugget, unfortunately, i did not have my camera, but i will stop by with the camera soon so i can show you all... but any ideas on what it could be? it was very dark (but young) with little yellowish/ orangeish spots (very pale though) it had a white stripe on the end of its tail fin... it looked like a nugget, but with duller black and paler spots...

I'm just curious about what the chances are that this will end up growing to be about the size of a nugget, or will it probably end up being a monster of a fish?

i will get those picks in as soon as possible! :pc:

The nearby Petsmart to me just started selling rubbernose plecos, very similar color to the common plecos. Rubbernose are a "dwarf" species like the bristlenose and max out at 5 or 6 inches. I've never purchased fish from PetSmart, but I was very tempted.
Take care,
Mary.

the petsmart near me just started doing the same thing. i picked one up, was the first fish i bought from petsmart, and he seems to be doing ok. i have him in a 10g right at the moment, as he is only about an inch long.
