Pleco losing color?

Hi, i searched but couldn't ifnd anything about my problem. I got a about 11" normal Pleco about 2 weeks ago, now after 2 week it seems like it losing color, as it looks like it drying out? if that makes any sense i will try and take a pciture but ita ahrd to notice it, but it looks like his blackish color is fading always.

Can you post your water parameters and tank size? What was he in before? Are any other fish bothering him?

what color is the gravel in the tank? what are you feeding it?

its in 55 gallon, um... i brought it from the store.. The gravel is black with alittle red rock in there.

He probably needs a bigger tank. What are the dimensions of your tank? He may be feeling a bit claustraphobic (if I spelled that right).

48Lx12 1/2" Wx21H also now that i measure the tank i measure the pleco hes about 7-8" not close to 11". i dont know why i assumed 11" for lol

Does he have any good caves/hiding spots big enough for him? What is your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?

i have common plecos and i notice them changing from dark brownish black to tan. what are you feeding it?
