Pleco not eating

wataugachicken, I have no idea what the scientific name is.
I had no real driftwood in the tank (only fiber resin fake piece with a lot of algae on it) and he was hiding in there (its hollow). before I found him again I noticed that the algea was disapearing from the glass and it looked like something was "vacuuming" through it. he must have been eating at night.

Toss in a piece of real driftwood. If your clown is a panaque maccus, he'll eat on the wood, actually digesting it as a dietary requirement. If it's a vitata, he'll want meatier foods. Two different fish, both called clowns, both pretty similar.
