I have posted on possible stocking of a 75g on another part of this forum, but here we are going to get a little more specific and aim at people who do the bottom dwellers.

in a 75g tank, what is the largest pleco that would be comfortable in that full grown? or what is the next largest/coolest looking that I could have 2 of? keeping in mind I am not buying zebra's or anything thats over 30$ a peice perferably. I want to buy them small and have them grow into this thing with whatever I decide to put in.

The general recommendation for catfish is that the tank be 4x the length of the fish on the front pane and 2x the length of the fish on the side pane. Therefore, a 48x18" tank can comfortably house a 9" pleco.

Go to planetcatfish and search through the catElog and see what looks interesting. Off the top of my head, L200 green phantom plecos or L075 para plecos would fit well in a 75 tank and might be available for $30 or less.

L204 is another nice looking fish that's reasonably priced, but they tend to be aggressive to other 204's so you should only get one. The various hypancistrus stay small but most are hard to get now that there is a ban on exportation from Brazil.

Also check aquabid to see what's out there for sale. There are hundreds ot plecos but not all are commonly imported.
