Quick Question, I have a primarily Malawi 55 gal tank. One of my cichlids is a Melanochromis Chipokae. He is definitely the most aggressive, but the others have learned to stay out of his way, and they all get along pretty well. We used to have a female, but they were making way too many babies. Well anyway, I have a Pleco that is about 6-7 inches long, and he is constantly harassed by the Chipokae, is this normal? They were fine when the pleco was younger, should I trade him in for a smaller one?

I'd get rid of the pleco and switch it out for a large cat.

I already have a synodontis, and they all leave it alone, but I particularly want an algae eater, that's, why I'm hesitant to get rid of it, and it has actually learned to defend itself a little. It makes use of it's barbs somewhat. Should I just leave things be?
