I want to start a ten gal tank that I got for christmas and I would like to get a pleco and somthing else. maybe a clown loach or two or something else. Thank you for you time.

Common Plecos and Clown Loaches will get way to large for a 10 gallon aquarium. If you want a pleco, go with a bristle nose pleco or a clown pleco, both species are relatively easy to find. Even those may get to large for a 10 gallon, max size is about 5 inches. What you may want to go with are a few ottos. Small algae eaters that are very similar to plecos.

Ottos do look very similar to plecos and also don't mind having each other for company. But common plecos get 18 inches long and create a ton of watse. Clown loaches should get to be 10 inches long or so and need to be kept in schools. Thus they really need a 75 gallon tank. Khulie loaches are the best choice for a 10 gallon tank.
