My Sturisoma panamense and Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps are always around the open area waiting for me to drop food for them.

I used to have one BN that does show up a lot during the day after being in my tank in a few days. She used to hide a lot. The new BN is now doing this gradually.

I have a gold nugget too but I NEVER see him...I see his dorsal fin and thats it. He was a $32.00 fish and I got him for like $11.00 because the girl working didn't know what he was...I knew what he was but I didn't give into it. Long story short, i'm glad I didn't pay that kind of money for him because I never see him...at all. It would have been a total waste of money! The only time I saw him was when I first put him in the tank almost 3 months ago, now he hides in this rock decoration all day. I thought he was dead for the longest time. Some people have good luck with them and get the pleasure of seeing them while others (like me) hardly see theirs.

I do have experiences with commons but they get too big for my taste.... and a little "uncaring" for whatever might be in their way at the moment.

True...and I expect mine to keep growing! Adding a nitelite to the 75G allows me to see him a lot more at night too.

Danger Doll, Gamer means the lights that you install in your hood. They are lights that mimic the moon (hence, moon lights). You can get a hood that already has them or install them yourself.

LOLOL I can't believe I did that... but the hood I have does have the moonlights installed but when I turn it on, the fish freak.... however, I am not sure this is a momentary thing... I'l give it a shot..
