I have a group of 4 ottos in my 100 gallon planted tank.
I believe I have three females and one male. Lately the three females have all gotten rather "plump" in this festive holiday season (also helping control a small algae issue).
Literally they have trouble staying flat against the glass because of thier pooched tummies. ALso, I am noticing a yellow discolored area just past thier tummy when viewing them while stuck to the front glass.
Is this what ottos look like when egg laden? If so, are there any known triggers to help them spawn? I would hate to think of my nice little algae control crew suffering a loss from one or more of them going egg bound and all.
