plywood aquariums

I'm almost finished building a plywood tank for a turtle of mine, its going to be about 200gal. I just need to sand a few spots and install the glass, and finish up the filter system.

Since its not very tall, only 18", I didn't hav to be overly concerned with craxy bracing to keep the wood from bowing out. I used 3/4" plywood with 2x4 frames on the top and bottom, and there is a false wall 7" in from the back where there will be an internal wet/dry system.

All seams were covered with a layer of fiberglass cloth, and the whole thing has about 3 coats of MAS Epoxy. The last coat was tinted with a mishmash of colors to get an uneven, murky effect. I really like the MAS stuff, its relatively inexpensive, and has practically no odor. I did this in my basement over the winter, so I didn't have too much ventilation (I take no resposibility if you do the same and end up brain dead), but this stuff is formulated to have little odor, and it worked out really well. I need to get some newer pictures, but this was about halfway through.
