Plywood tank build

Well here are a few more pics, I finished the stud walls in the front. i left a 17" opening to access under the tank on each side the stud in the center. I then cut 2' 2x8's and lined them over the top of the stand to reinforce the bottom of the tank. I know that it was stated above that 3/4' plywood would handle the load, being a Marine has taught me that "Its better to have it, and not need it, tan to need it and not have it." I believe that's soo true with gear, or in this case structural support. I will wrap the stand tomorrow, at the top to brace the seams at the bottom of tank.

I missunderstood the use you intended for the 2x6s..In this case they are not overkill.
 
I havnt even been able to get started on my tanks stand or canopy. Pickin up the wood next weekend though...so that is a start. Yay!
 
Well I have finished the stand frame, wrapped it with 2x6. and placed the tank on top of it. Waiting to get paid to order the POND COAT, and the glass.
