I have heard of people making plywood tanks, how is this done? Like is there somethig that goes over the plywood? Im just wondering for a temporary tank

You seal it with epoxy so that it's water tight. It seems like a great way to get a bigger tank cheaper, the downside is that there's usually only one visible face of the tank.

They are great for makeing massive tank's. Debramark has a plywood and glass tank that is 3240 gallon's. I am thining of doing a 400-500 gallon in my basement some day. Like said previously they can be used as display tank's just fine but you have to cut out a hole in the front plywood and silicone in a piece of glass.

I had a very nice looking 300 gallon plywood tank. It was framed so the font and the back were glass.

One of my friends has a 180 plywood tank built into his wall as a room divider.
It's basically a plywood box sealed with epoxy. There are certain people who have started using a product called sanitred which is much more durable than epoxy.

about how much would it cost to build one say about 100 gallons

IMO it's not worth it unless you're going 180 or larger. you'll have about the same amount in materials (glass, wood, sealer of choice) as you would in a pre-made tank.

just an idea, but these tanks look a LOT better if they're in-wall.
