Plz ID this stuff on my fish?

Your algae look like diatoms to me. You posted two different photos in two different topics. It would have been easier to stick to one topic and post the photos in one. Use algae scraper and use carbon to get rid of the medicine. There is no reason why you don't want the algae unless it is blocking the front glass and obscuring the view.

I have to agree that you need a much clearer picture or wrong advice can kill your fish. ICH medication doesn't take care of algae. If what you have on the fish is also on the tank it is not a fish disease but poor water conditions. If it is brown, discard any carbon in filters, do a 25% water change every 3 days and cut back on amount of food being fed.

Brown are diatoms and is symptomatic of excess phosphates caused by poor water conditions, over-feeding and exacerbated by the carbon in filters. Make sure water is dechlorinated before adding.

so take the carbon filter out, and do 25% changes every 3 days?

Do the 25% changes every 3 days or even more recently anyway. When you have a sick fish you must give them clean water, and the cleaner the better. On a bit of a tangent I've had 2 recover from massive beatings because of nothing more than a daily 50% water change for 2 weeks.

The pic is simply not clear enough to diagnose your fish.

Ok wait! algae growing on a the fish??? you really need to try and get a better pic of the fish so we can better help ya out with the situation!

The diatom can also be caused by silicates leeching from a new tanks glass. It is not always a cause of poor water conditions.

well i have a feeling it was poor water conditions because i didn't do a "proper" 50% water change in like 3 weeks and didn't vacume the gravel in even longer so i'm pretty confident it was poor water conditions. i raised the temp to 85* and am hoping the fish get better....

i'm sry but i just am not able to get a good pic....they all seem a lot more skittish than usual! :(

raising the temp alone is not going to do anything.

Do a daily 50% change with gravel vac until the fish improves. I can't tell you what medication to use because it is not possible to say from the pic or description what's wrong with the fish.

Drop the temp to 82. Add one teaspoon salt for each 10 gallons. Vacuum gravel and do water changes as suggested. Do not use table salt. Dissolve salt well before adding to tank (Warm water works well).

Not maintaining water changes and vacuuming is like letting a child drink from a mud puddle -- sure he gets water but it isn't healthy for it.
