PMDD potassium question

If I have potassium nitrate...there is no need to add potash correct? Because the plants want potassium ion (K+) which they can get from the potassium nitrate.

Potassium nitrate is used in PMDD to raise the nitrates to around 5-10ppm. It's not actually used for it's potassium value, by the time you dosed enough for your potassium levels, you're nitrates would be exceedingly high (which isn't good).

Get yourself some potassium sulfate through your pharmacy, or KCl at a hardware/garden store (sold as: muriate of potash). The latter option is what I personally use as it is more cost effective, a medium bucket of 0-0-60 was just $4.95, enough to last for years and years.
