POLL: Goldfish in a Bowl

A classic "fish bowl" - ie, a 4 gallon or less round glass bowl - is never an appropriate home for any fish. That includes a betta, a goldfish, a neon tetra, etc. The only creature that might be happy in a bowl would be a shrimp or a snail, and both would still require filtration.

I don't think a fish bowl is a great home for any fish, especially goldfish. They get so big and messy!

Every creature in an aquatic setup requires filtration. Unless you are able to provide a filter and stable water parameters, a bowl is not suitable for any fish. With most bowls holding less than 4 gallons of water, maintaining stable, healthy water parameters is next to impossible.

I say nay....but I still want that bowl evelyn80 posted. I'd put a ton of goldfish....crackers in it. Or maybe m&m's.
