what tank lol.... it just depends on what you have in there. some of my tanks shallow in front deep in the back.... others flat. plants like swords crypts do better in deeper substrate.


Why ya gotta complicate things?! I have "planted" tanks with no substrate...
 
yep you can do that too. just using floater and plants you can tie on driftwood or rocks. you can also use pots to plant the plants in and still have bb tank. one thing everyone should learn is there is more then just one way to do anything in aquariums..... just cuz you do it different doesnt mean its wrong
