No, I meant the photos here; the light striping on the head and anterior body is very nice, especially the fish with reddish markings. It seems to be more obvious in some individuals (or at least some shots).

Oh I see what you meant now, yes there is a lot of variation in the pattern of every species of Polypterus. Some have a lot of contrast, some are grey, some green, some have dark thick stripes, some have lighter thinner ones. Makes them very addicting

Hi, sadly I don't have those albinos anymore. I did post a pic or two of a short body albino in part 1 of this series, the senegalus. Link is in my sig

I have 6 baby short body albino sens, and two baby albino regular length sens. I'll update part one with pics

Thank you very much Jen! That shot took a lot of luck to pull off! I literally was just taking random pics of the fish and saw him yawning and got lucky that the pic came out some what clear.

They used to eat all the same things as the bichirs and cichlids:

hikari gold, hikari sinking cichlid gold, chopped up market shrimp, and algae wafers.

I sold my group of 5 after I lost my favorite loach with a symetrical saddle bar and spots behind it on both sides.

Here is the single best shot I ever managed to take of a clown loach:
