I just added a few gallons of water to the tank this morning, and now I notice the pumping xenia is wilted over. I've never seen it do this during the day b4!!!!

Any suggestions, ideas, ???

With appreciation

From my experience the main causes of Xenia wilting are:

big change in salinity
change in PH
change in temp
low iodine
too much light (like when I added my halides)

My guess is your salinity changed too much. Chances are they will perk back up tomorrow if your water conditions are truly ok.

Yeah it's popped right back up. The water I added was lower in salinity and PH, but I added so little I thought it wouldn't be sensed by anyone!

Lesson learned.

Xenia is an excellent indicator of pH problems. Pulsing Xenia has been known to stop pulsing if the pH is too low.
