very interesting.... any photo's of the filter system?
what kind of sunfish/minnows?

The pond looks like it's been there forever, which ofcourse is how all ponders would like to achieve - is it lined or natural bottom?

Insect life....brings to mind a site you might be interested in - mostly microlife of a pond, but I found the photo's very neat... Ron's Pondscum

Thanks HT:)

who wants to pay for a 50 000 watt heater, any takers .solution: some type of ruberized vinyl tee-pee tent cover type of thingy on a frame that can be secured to the ground 4 winter,it would cause solar heating & break the cold wind for you .could be made in 2 pieces 4 weight & attatch on sight .1/2 to 1/2 to ground. then you could use a 1000 watt air heater (space heater) on a thermostat :)

You seem to have not an incredible pond but an awesome one,,,yet for some reason I cannot see your pics,,is there a link were I can see them?

As of now I have an outside community heated tropical pond in my outside garden, of course its very small its 300gal,,its built over a concrete japanese circle concrete pond, with a small iland in the middle. I am planning to make this pond larger and deeper to house more speciees of fish. Now I have only 10 species 1 gourami, 2 plecostomus, 1 parrot hybrid fish, 1 Koy (the water is kept at 25-26 degrees celcius) and one angel. these fish already have been with me over a year like the angel fish, and the rest almost two years.

So its good to see someone with an incredible pond like yours to look forward to and learn,,,im looking forward for your pics, and good look with that awesome pond.

I didn't even know this thread was still here. The hosting company that used to have my website and I have parted company, but I am looking into options and if I find something that works, I'll re-post the photos of my pond here. Making a mental note now...
