Hi all ...
i just saw a pond snail a few days ago and said what can an small snail do , and left it be in the tank , tonight when i was checkin the top filter ,i saw a few more of those guys walkin around the filter box ! , and lotsa them ( maybe about 10 ) in the tank , how the heck they came into my tank ? there s nothin new added , and are they dangerous ? :( should i remove them ? and how to prevent them from comin back ?

theyre harmless but the population can explode if you overfeed. There are plenty of snail trap ideas all over this forum. It'll help control the population but you'll likely never be fully rid of them.

Live and let live, I say, as long as they're not hurting anything. Hope this helps.

i donno bout over feedin i don think my sword tails let any food reach the bottom of the tank , any way they r not botherin me or fishes i ll just let them be , i just afraid they might be a danger sign !
aren t they bad for plants ?
thnx for replies guys

how do they came into my tank ?

Did you add any plants to the tank within the last few weeks? The eggs, or even the snails themselves, are common hitchhikers.

yeah i think i added some plants weeks before i saw the snails ...
i don have any cichlids ... except my angel
