pond tabs

I was wondering would it be safe to use pond tabs in my tank.
I live in Ireland and i'm having problems finding proper tabs.
I was given some pond tabs but i'm a bit unsure about using them.
I have laterite in the tank, but I would like something to give my swords a boost

IMO, pond tabs are for ponds.
I don't even see the necessity for regular plant tabs in a planted tank.....even for Amazon Swords. I've never used them and had good results without them. The downside of all plant/root tabs is the possibility of algae issues if they are disturbed when moving/replanting your plants.
The laterite you have will 'boost' root feeders for you.
I would suggest just using 'water table nutrients' and see how that works out for you.
