pool filter sand question....

Guys, thanks for your responses. I found what I was looking for at the Dolphin Pool store here in Dallas. Its a very nice look in the aquarium. Thanks for all your advice. You guys saved me a ton of cash.

Sorry that its not the best pic, but here it is, I am still trying to cycle and waterlog my driftwood

Still very basic, the rocks on the driftwood hide some of what I was planning. The piece on the right is laying on its side. Once it stops floating it will look much better. I also plan to add more rocks and plant the tank with a low light and diy c02 setup.

So, I happen to be looking all over the place for PFS, and HD and Lowes around here don't carry it. Leslie's has its own brand PFS, but it is dark in color. I'm not sure what color it is because it's packaged in a non-transparent bag. The employee said it's not what I'm looking for when I told him I was looking for light-colored PFS. My only option is this local store where I can put in an order, but it only has grit 20 PFS in white color, which is what I want. Does anyone have a picture of Leslie's PFS?

It seems that grit 20 is a good size for fish tanks... I have HOB filters in my fish tank. Everyone agrees? I just wanted to ask you guys before I put in an order.

Some is sharper than others. It may be ok depending on the fish you'll keep, sand sifters & diggers might like smooth better. Rub a little between your fingers to get a feel for it.
