Is there any type of freshwater addition to my tank that eats fish poo? Kind of like a clean-up crew for freshwater, cuz that would be cool.....

plants and a gravel vacuum are the only effective poop eaters (taker-outers)

No. There are fish that scavange uneaten food. Not fish wastes. That is where you come in with the gravel vacs.

thanx all, wishful thinking ehh....

To scavenge to the gravel, get Cory Cats or Bamboo Shrimp to help out with that.

even if there was a fish or creature that ate poo. . . it would also have to poo. any creature you put into your tank will produce waste, so no animals can be reliable waste-removers or reducers. somewhere along the line you have to do the cleaning yourself.

One thing I noticed though with my water changes and thus gravel cleaning...once I get the siphon going, the water comes out so fast compared to how much pooh I can get out of the gravel. I dont do more than 20 percent changes, and im guessin Id have to do like 50 percent in one sitting to get all the poooh out of the gravel...anyone relate?
