i think he meant maybe they were suffering stress from coming to your tank from a tank which could have had OTS

Oh, that would make sense then. I could agree there, but I have no clue what the condition of the tank was as he brought the fish out to me.
It kills me to have to watch these little guys die off. Hopefully, no more do, but I'm skeptical.

Well, considering the condition they were in when he brought them to you, they probably do have OTS whether it's the thing killing them off or if it's just a contributing factor. I know how you feel about cories dying, such friendly little guys biting the dust is hard to watch
