This is my second pleco. the first one died when my cat tipped over my fishtank.:rant2: This one was mobbed my my betta and is now having trouble staying on the bottom of my tank. i took the betta out but im worried that the pleco wont make it. any suggestions for what to do now?:help2:
How bad is it? Can you post some pics? I've seen many fish that had significant trauma recover completely through keeping the water they are in absolutely pristine.
You have to keep the ammonia and nitrite at 0ppm, and nitrate at 20 or less. Keep the dissolved organic compounds from building up, maintain an even comfortable temperature, extra 02 through adding an airstone or two, and peaceful, stress free conditions in the tank.
i cant get any pics right now, I'm at a friends house helping them with a goldfish pond (digging a hole) but its fins were bitten and it had little red and wight dots on its body, mostly on its stomach.
