Quick question if all my fish died of popeye would I have to strip my tank down and start again or is there something I can do so I don't have to cycle it all over again.

Sorry to hear. Popeye is a condition rather than an actual disease, usually a reaction to high nitro wastes in the water. If you haven't used antibiotics, your biofilter should be okay, but the underlying cause needs to be addressed or it could happen again. Good luck!

the only way to know for sure is to test the water for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates.

You could treat it with Olive Oil.

Using fresh carbon will remove any medication in the water as well.
