Porcelain Crabs

So I was thinking of getting a porcelain as they seem to be more reef safe than my emerald crab. I was wondering though...will he be safe in there with my hermit crabs and emerald crabs? I plan on moving the emerald to a refugium evenutally or taking him back to LFS but I was curious if this would work as I think I really want to get a porcelain crab.

They are reef safe right?

Very reef safe. Both the porcelain and the anemone crabs are filter feeders. They don't use their claws to get food. Here is my porcelain: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/blog.php?b=23

I don't keep other crabs in the tank as most are too opportunistic for me.

I had one that came in as a hitchhiker but I've not seen him for long time, I'm hoping he is in a rock crevice somewhere but that could be wishful thinking

I got 2 that are hiding in my tank somewhere - no idea where. I haven't seen them since I bought them a week ago of an odd color variety different than most LFS carry. I'm about to take the 2 hermits out and put them in my tank with a small trigger. I probably won't deliberately put them to their deaths, but they are little snot heads constantly going after my snails.

This is why I only have snails for clean up!

I have a porcelain anemone crab. He's great. He never strays far from my BTA however he does use those claws to dig out food from the BTA during feeding time.

I've had the hermits for about 2 years now, before I ever even saw snails in the only fish stores i had at my availability at the time. Dang things are indestructible.
