porcupine puffer

giant, but the still stay adorable! :)

journey, just get a bigger tank, you know you want one!

NO WAY! I haven't even established this one yet and I get anxiety every time I have to pull out my debit card..."oh man, did I do the right thing starting this hobby..."

The way I figure it, I'm really saving money though. I spent at least 5 hours staring at rock yesterday. I might have otherwise gone to a movie or gone shopping or run up my cell phone bill. So, in the end this is really cheap entertainment. Yup, that's what I'm telling myself.

I have a porcupine puffer so I know what you mean.I was dieing to get one, they have to be the cutest fish ever with those big eyes and they always look like they are smiling.Mine is such a happy little bugger.I am not far from Boone NC but I don't think my tank could handle another fish..
I am always looking for salt fish stores,,care to let me know the name of the store.I don't mind the drive if it is a good store.

It is called reef magic. The assistant is super helpful but the manager and I have different philosophies about aquarium keeping. The store is okay...stocks average stuff...doesn't sell the high end supplies...probably not a great market for it here. I'm really not sure about the quality of fish...I haven't seen any recently that were sick...

Thanks,There are two stores in Kingsport,,Not sure if you know the area or not but it isn't to far from Boone. They both are pretty good stores and have nice fish,if you are ever over this way.
Neither carry alot of the high end things and I am like you I think there is not a demand for saltwater in this area, freshwater you can buy everything for but not salt water.I would bet you could count on 1 hand how many people have saltwater in the county I live in.

That is great to know...I've had trouble locating places near by...could you share their names...you can pm me if you would prefer.

"Diving the Hole in the Wall off Jupiter is always an unusual dive. The depth and proximity to the Gulfstream attracts many large pelagic visitors. This day turned stranger when a porcupine puffer fish launched out of a hole and bit my little finger off. (Don't click on this Picture unless your on an empty stomach!) Yes, I said puffer fish. Those cute, cuddly, doe–eyed denizens of the deep apparently have quite a temper and a vicious set of teeth."

I can't go back and edit for some reason. If one of the admins could remove the Picture.

Thanks.
