with usps you can get delivery confirmation(tracking) always ask for it. it's only like $.50 more (right fifty cents) when I ship usps I always ask for it.
You can actually get delivery confirmations for FREE by printing the shipping label online at usps.com! I love that option :)

I been to wholesalers..Bettas can live in very small bags 4 x 4 with very little water..That is how they come in shipped from Asia..They might make the trip to your home alive..I would wait this one out..You did not recieve the fish yet..

I live on an Air Force Base and our mailbox is closed on Sat. :(
The seller is going to send them to me this Tues. so hopefully I will get them b4 next weekend.
Trust me, I will be takin all kinds of pics of him and showin him off! :D

Does anyone know if you can breed siblings w/out problems or should I look for another halfmoon female?

When it comes to breeding bettas, in order to keep that line true you want to breed siblings..mainly to keep that strain that colour with that certain type of finnage etc. However if you want to make that strain better then you can get a different male/female to breed with your original say to increase fin span or maybe get some DT geno in the line etc.
When breeding siblings generation after generation, the breeders come up with some amazing fish....no defects, no health issues...perfectly healthy, normal bettas.

Well, I got the fishies in last week and they are in great shape! I got one male with his sister and two additional females, so I'll se how it works out. I may need to put him inot another tank because he's not nesting, though they are all still quite small, they are almost 4 mos old.

I have been shipping USPS for years. This year I have noticed a major change- places that were overnight for express are now 2 days and stuff I have sent priority that made it in 2 days now takes 3-4. The USPS Tracking service is a waste of money IMO. I have gotten and sent fish using Express with tracking. Boxes arrive but the site shows them still in transit for another 1-2 days after they are in the tank.

Just an FYI- most Epress is suncontracted to FedEx to deliver and now Priority is handed off to UPS. Since the PO charges less for next day than either of these outfits, there is ample motivation for them to be slow. For example- I get angels from a breeder in Atlanta sent here to NY ( near the city). She has sent me angels priority that arrived the next day. I recently sent her a box of bristlenose using Express. The PO would only guarantee 2nd day delivery. Neither of us has moved nor used a different PO.
