possible stupid question..regarding water changes

I've looked...but I can't find anything.

when im doing water changes...do i need to get my snails off of the glass at the top of the water?

basically...do i need to keep the snails in water at all times like fish...or are they ok to stay hung at the top of the glass while the water is half way down...

i hope this questions makes sense..thanks!

Firstly, not a stupid question.

your snails will be fine above the waterline. if they want to be in the water they will move down as the water does or they will let go and plop back into the water.

Mine usually just move down if they don't though they will be fine.

yup, as said, they will drop off and go under the water if htey are uncomfortable. No need to move them.

It is actually better not to move them. Trying to pull them off of the glass is very stressful for the snails.
