Possiblt to cross breed Cherry shrimp and Snowball Shrimp?

Ok I have my 10 gal shrimp tank that has mostly RCS and then I got 10 snowballs about a year ago. I think most snowballs died off. When I turned on the light today I saw what appears to be a 3/4" to 1" long clear bodied shrimp with the "snowball" on the back that had some red on it. Am I just seeing things or can these guys be cross bred?

There are a number of Shrimp Compatability Charts out there. The basics are as petlvr describes: keep caridinas with caridinas, or neos with neos, and they will interbreed and becme POS (plain ol' shrimp, although other meanings for that acronym could be thought of.)

This is a good one from The Shrimp Farm folks.
 
They're compatible in the sense they won't hurt each other and will take the same water conditions. They're not compatible in the sense that they will cross-breed and create little shrimp mutts. I'm actually thinking about setting up a little 5 gallon where I can put my less colorful blues and yellows and toss some cherries in as well to see how many generations until I can't tell them apart.
