I have had fish a long time ago and but I recently got three mollies, one of which was a pregnant female i later found out. The person at the pet store didn't let me know that the fish he was getting for me was a female. A couple nights ago I went to feed the fish and I noticed that there was a little fish swimming around. The female fish was not put into a separate aquarium as I didn't know she was pregnant. Anyways, I only noticed one fish that night. The next day I noticed that there was a bunch of what looked like baby fish laying on the gravel underneath a plant. The babies that are laying on the ground seem to be in a sac like bag which is clear. They haven't moved since monday when they were born. Where they stillborn? The one fish that did survive is still swimming around and hasn't been eaten yet by the other fish.
I have never had a fish that has given birth before so this is new to me.
