Post all the good LFS stories

I have found Maidenhead Aquatics (souther UK chain of stores) to obe awesome no matter which branch. Wimborne in particular are very good. Excellent FW & SW livestock - All my livestock except the Danios came form them.
They give great advice on all subjects - i recently spent 40 mins talking to a guy about water chemistry and he didn't try to sell me a thing and gave really good frank advice

When I was starting out I went to an Oak Park pet store to buy a gravel vac. The associate actually took it out of the package and did a water change with me to show me how it works. Pretty good service for a $5 sale.

My favorite store, though, is Ocean Design Aquariums in Chicago. Beautiful animals, plants and good selection.

Okay, I have the best LFS I've ever encountered near me. They're called "All Oddball Aquatics" and they're located on the south side of Pittsburgh, PA.

The place is ran by the owner and a couple of employees. All of them are very knowledgable and they even breed many of the fish that they sell in their breeding facility that is on the second floor of their building.

I don't have a specific story to tell, but I do have to say that it is hands-down the best store that I've ever seen. All the fish are in great shape and they have great prices. They're also willing to talk to you about your tanks and help you find real solutions to any problems that you're having rather than just suggesting medication.

Great place. I hope I never move 'cause I know I won't find a place as good ever again.

I'm usually against shopping at the big chain stores, but the Petsmart by me is really good. I went to buy my clown loaches :D and they even asked me what size tank I had!! There fish always look really healthy, well taken care of, and I've overheard the staff with customers and they know what they are talking about

Well as I'm sure some of you remember... when our 90 gallon "incident" happened (link to refer to: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47017) My LFS took all of my fish and kept them in their own filtered/heated tank for over a week until we got everything running again.
They also try and get any fish I want (Female endlers for example).
Various discounts here and there for being good customers too..

In the Columbus area, Byerlys is the place to go. Clean tanks, quality fish and good advice. They even keep their brackish fish in true brackish tanks which made it a breeze for me to start a figure 8 puffer tank.

I love my local fish store. The only bad advice I ever got was from one person who no longer works there.'

They take great care of their fish and will give honest advice even if it might cost them a sale. Back when I was getting started, the manager suggested I put off buying an expensive pleco until my tank was more established. They also always ask what your tank size is before selling you any fish that will outgrow a 10 gallon.

i have a good lfs they have great fish. I have a story in the making with them right now. i don't understand it they are very knowledge about fish but there is a fish there mislabeled a uaru amp for a uaru fern! that price is atleast 10 times cheaper ($10 compaired to $100) i just need another tank

I've been to Elmer's up there but never did see 'Oddball Aquatics' while visiting.
