Post Pictures of your Non-Planted Tanks

people have non planted tanks?

I'm considering this route for my second tank so that I can have some crayfish. I've heard they can and will pretty much destroy any plant you have.

However, I did already start speaking to my fiancee last night about how, if we wanted to, we could upgrade the lighthing(it's a bow front and I would go with a retrofit). Again, if we wanted to.

i know this is a older post and maybe your tank is done?

but since your the man i was going to read thru your threads started and gain knowledge.

but my crays- wild and store bought; dont uproot that much at all. if you have a deep enought substrate that you alreay would have to have live plants then your ok. just use lead weights at the bottom, bury them nice and good, then once they root they will be safe.

my large wild cray would uproot my plastic plants more! and use em as a hidey hut (big plastic dish part). in the 5g.

now in the 10g he only climbs the floating hornwort and takes my nice ball in the upper corner and shreds it (not literally). but untangles my nice ball and its all over the aquarium

good thoughts. I've put my desire for crays on hold for a while. I've got two tanks, each with a number of bottom dwelling fish, so I'm gonna have to wait until they live out their lives. Instead I'm looking at adding some german blue rams to my 46g here in a bit.

Good to know that when the time comes, shouldn't be too much of a problem.
