For all of us out there who delight in making our fishes diet second to none, this is a post to share your recipes for homemade gel food. I personally think its fun to make and I refrigerate it in heart shaped containers to make it look cute and to show my fish that I love them. LOL! My specific recipe is for my goldfish. The only thing I really measure is the amount of water in it. Everything else is just kind of subjective.

I just fed my goldies and they loved it. I also have a REALLY simple recipe for fish with swim bladder problems.

Bumping this for right now... (had a hell of a time finding it)

cool this will give me some ideas for making food

I use one packet of gelatin, one bottle of baby food mixed vegetables or pumpkin/carrots are fine, one teaspoon of spirulina powder, 2 teaspoons of chlorella powder, a tablespoon of saki hikari powder, finely chopped blanched greens (as much as it'll take), and whatever freeze dried food i have on hand. Baby food goes into the microwave, everything else mixes in afterwards. After it cools, I mash it up with a fork and put it in one of those ice cube trays with the tiny cubes to freeze.
