post your insect and invert pics...

i see that every few weeks someone will post insect pics and i thought why not make a thread for it. here people can comment and offer suggestions as well. with each set of pictures contributed, please write the camera and lens used for them. ill start it up and i hope this thread stays on top. any help on identifying specific insects is appreciated.

This bad boy was right at head level as I walked out of the garage door. My face was **** near 4 inches from it .

thanks guys! im so impressed with the pics being posted. i love that so many more people are into this than i expected. i will be going upstate this weekend and im hoping to get more pics of some crazy insects. i hope to see a praying mantis! keep up the posts guys, i love the macro shots especially. dont forget to list your cameras and lenses!

Good job Jay. Top notch photos. amazing how a simple dslr cam opens up a new view of these lil creatures, lets us step into their world. Love that spider with the googly eyes! lol
