mayb he'll take in interest in a female just divide the tank first so if he does get aggressive she wont get hurt and maybe he'll warm up to her through the divider ... make sure he can see her though :)
 
When he was little he had a female in that I bought at the same time. He killed her and kept her from eating food. (not in that order of course). ;)
 
well you never know he might get to like a new gf my other male did teh same thing was a bUstard of a thing ey killed two beautiful jd girls :(

well up to you

you can swap him for a breeding pair or something and just let them all grow up and all that in the same tank but most of them well get chowed on though
 
Two JD's would probably be too much in a 56 I figured. Someone can correct me if I am wrong though.
I figured he would be ok with pretty much anything raised with him as long as he couldn't fit it in his mouth. I was wrong, lost a JD and had a Pleco and Cory Cats that got picked on all the time.
