This silver dollar is a replacement and a saved silver dollar. He was being ripped, nipped and attacked by his own kind. He had no left arm fin, his body had scrapes, scratches... I felt desperate to save him, so I did. And he's looking good now! I finally introduced him after quarantining a little bit; I could tell he really didn't like the 10 gallon quarantine at all. So I introduced him to the 55 gallon quite early. Fins, and scales were recovering, but I ran into some temporary cottony growth problems on him, but I knew he was a lot happier in the 55 gallon with peaceful fish and my other silver dollar, the one I trust, did not attack the saved silver dollar. Few weeks after I made a good decision to post up my stock because I felt a little uneasiness about my stock, and whattaya know, I been told my 55 gallon is overstocked. Shocked, I removed a lot unnecessary fish. Tank is back to a decent stock. His cottony growth went away and he's looking so great now.
My two silver dollars in my 55 gallon. .
This picture is taken when I was overstocked. Despite the overstocking, and the high frenzy nitrate in the water, he looks quite happy at that moment.
