Columnaris is often mistaken for fungus (saprolegnia) but since it's appearing on more than one fish, I also agree that it sounds like Columnaris. At any rate, you've treated it appropriately with anti-bacterial/anti-fungal medications of Maracyn i & II. Maybe it just takes a while to clear completely. Sorry about the molly.
