Potter's Angel

Inverts as in snails, crabs, hermits, shrimp, yes. With corals I still would not risk it. I have seen many, many experienced aquarists have angels in reef tanks. Not sure how it is done, maybe just luck? Perhaps feeding them a few times a day could be the key.

the last fish I want to get is an angel but Im torn on which one it def will be a dwarf since they are some of the ones that are suppost to be "reef safe" but I did not want one picking off my cleaners I like the bicolor, lemon peel, eibli, coral beauty and flame. I just dont know which one does better over the other in a community reef.

Yeah i think the compatibility between dwarf angels and corals is case by case. I had to remove my flame for this reason. But I know some people have kept flame in their reef tank for years without a significant problem. Definitely stay away from the larger ones. There's a good chance you MIGHT be okay with potters, flame, or coral beauty. Haven't kept bicolor before, but I heard they MIGHT be okay too. And also remember that it may take them as long as few months until they start bothering the corals. So they might seem okay at first, but continue to keep your eyes on them. My flame began to bother the corals about 3 months after he was introduced to the tank.

I've have a lemon peel and although he never seems to have grown hes doing fine has to compete for food but eats well looks good.
Has'nt bothered any of my corals (soft only) but i have lost my cleaner shrimps over time, first goes the antennae then as they are shortened down i dont know wether they die of starvation or get eaten ?????
Could this have been the lemon peel?
I now have a coral banded shrimp and hes doing fine.

oh no that sucks I DONT want to loose my g/f fav invert. Ill think Ill pass on an angel. might look into butterflies then. Def will get an angel for my pred tank though. :D:grinyes:

Flame angels are great imo. They should not eat your shrimp, maybe , maybe they will chow your small polyps.
