I have two powerheads (maxijet 1200 w/ hydor diffusers on both) they are both on opposing walls against the back of the tank, is this okay or should they be more towards the middle of the side walls... who ever thought powerheads would be so confusing? thanks

You gota play with them. The whole idea is to get random flow in the tank, and no dead spots, by which i mean no current in a specific area. I would place both on the middle side glass, and have them pointing in different directions, to mix up the flow.

I placed my MJ1200s in the back corners of the tank, with the nozzles of both pointing to the front/center.

I still may play with the placement a bit, but I think this configuration is creating a great random flow all throughout the tank, as evidenced by the little bits of uneaten food that are leftover after a feeding... when I turn the powerheads back on, these little bits fly all over the tank, taking quite a while to finally land in a spot where they don't get blown around anymore.
