Powerhead suggestions needed

Ok so I'm still trying to figure some things out. I got a Penguin 1140 PH (300GPH) at Petco yesterday but was wondering if the ZooMed powersweep from Petsmart would work better..? I searched a bit and saw a few comments that the powersweep is not reliable. Should I stick with the Penguin? The tank is 37 gallons. Do I need to get a second PH or is the one enough? If I have to get a second could I go with a less powerful one (cause they're cheaper)? Thanks!

Can't comment on the ZooMed cos never used one.

You should be aiming for a 10X water turnover per hour minimum. So you looking at a flow rate minimum of 370GPH. I would definatly recommend a second powerhead at the opposite end of the tank. You could probably get a less powerful one if you wanted to save a few pennies.

I would go and buy a maxijet 1200..preferably new ( dont like second hand electrical goods )..good thing about maxijets is it so easy to control the flow, so if its too much, you can just back it off a little...
