Suggest what size powerhead for a 75 gallon (gph) that would give me really good water circulation along with my Rena Filstar XP3. No, I am not doing 2 filters on this tank. I would prefer a very strong current enough so a heavily planted tank will show all the leaves moving on the plants.

Thanks!

dimensions would be helpful. I have a Taam Rio 800 for CO2 misting purposes in a 55g that's 4ft long. Might be a bit too powerful but then again, I don't have a diffuser on it.

How much was yours? I would also like to do this with my c02.. does it mist the co2 well? is it easy to diffuse it through that?

$20 I believe. It makes a really fine mist of co2 that gets dispersed throughout the tank.

However, I would recommend a the non-RVT model since the RVT models are built specifically for skimmers and do not have the filter/strainer. I kept getting moss, leaves, and snails sucked into it, making a racket and slowing it down. Plus it has none of the nozzle attachments. I went and bought a power filter kit for the 800 RVT so stop killing assassin snails. I also fixed a piece of plastic grid to the nozzle to diffuse the flow a bit.

The non-RVT 800 still comes with the multi-flanged, bubble-chopping impeller.

I hate to endorse w--*m---, but they have "aqua-tech" powerheads for roughly $20 U.S. that rate 179 GPH. Slap a sponge on that sum*****, you have extra circulation AND filtration, mechanical and biological.
