Hello,
I'm sure some of you know, that I wanted to go DIY co2, but now I'm thinking about preassurized co2. (my birthday is comming up in 3 weeks!) Now, do I really need a preassurized system?

I have one 9oz paintball tank that I could use for my 20 gallon long..Would that be okay or would I need a bigger co2 tank? Now about the system....What one would be good for $150 or less that could run off of paintball tanks? Thanks!!

it may be better to get a CO2 system that runs off of larger co2 canisters. in a 20gal tank a larger tank(5#) would run you over 1.5 yrs. if you live near a place that sells kegs, rent a co2 cylinder. cheaper than buying it! drsfostersmith.com is selling a kit for about $99 right now!

greenleafaquariums has a paintball system you can buy, dont know how much it costs.

for about 70 you can get a regulator from water-testers.com
for about 70 you can get a tank from aquariumplants.com
for about 8.90 you can get tubing from www.co2-canisters.com which is water-testers.com so email them before you order the regulator for the tubing.
for about 27 you have the tank filled

175.90 plus shipping, that is the best deal in my opinion. it is also the setup that i have.

Actually, I think I'm going to start off with DIY and with the money I get from my birthday, I'll look into these systems...so I'll be back with more questions much later! Thanks!
