So I will be getting a preformed pond and I was wondering what size you recomend if I was only planing on putting goldfish in it comets.. not any koi ... or if you guys could tell me like how many I could get in an 218, 120, 80 .. cuz i cant decide what I want because as size goes up so does dollars so i just wanna know how many fish i could get in them as a deciding factor.
Hope this post wasnt confusing.

Well, in the ponding world, bigger is usually considered better.:)
Say you get the 80 gallon unit, you'll only be able to keep 3 or 4 fish. The larger the pond you get, you can increase to a few more fish. You want to keep your fish load low, particularly if you don't use any kind of filter. If you want to keep your costs down you can make your own filter. The size of pond you decide to get kind of depends on the room you have and how much work you want to do. The bigger the preform unit the trickier it gets to get them level.

Hagen makes a few rectangular heavy duty pre-formed ponds that are free standing so you don't have to make a wooden frame for it like you would with the odd shaped preformed ones. Bigger is better. Go with the biggest you can afford, they will do better and therefore be more enjoyable. I recommend Tetra Clearchoice Biofilters. They are green barrel looking filters (pump is separate) they even have an internal version to sit in the pond instead of outside the pond (although I prefer the external ones).
