I know this may be a stupid question, but I have a 1 gallon tank with undergravel filter and light. I also have a pregnant guppy. Could they survive in this tank for a few weeks? It's the only tank I have that's not in use. I do have a new 5 gallon cycling. Also, she is laying on the rocks alot. She comes up to eat and swim some, but not much. I have a male who does the same thing, so I was wondering if this was a guppy thing or a pregnant thing? Thanks.

I am assuming this is not a typo...that it really is a 1-gallon tank w/ UGF and an airlift for UGF water flow and aeration as a side benefit.

I'd just go get a 10-gallon tank setup from Wal-Mart and a breeding net (they usually have those, too). Make sure to attach the included plastic cabomba stems to the frame of the breeding net (a.k.a. net breeder).

I've put the fry into a 1-gallon tank w/ light and fed them a diet of finely crushed fish flakes. Worked fine for a couple weeks, but I ultimately put them all into a net breeder in my wife's 38-gallon tank.
