I have four neon tetras and two cory's in a 16 gallon bowfront for 1.5 years now. One of my neons looks pregnant. I only have amazon sword plants in here. What is the likelyhood she is pregnant? Is it more likely she is constipated? Everything is thriving. Thanks

hmmm..... I don't know how possible it is, they are egg-layers, not live-bearers. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but I've never seen a fat one before. I would try treating for constipation just in case.

I put some peas (defrosted and shelled) into the tank. Perhaps its just a pig??? I don't know, but he stomach is HUGE! And her appetite is voracious!

thanks, wasn't sure if i was stupid to think this neon was preggers or not. she/perhaps he??? is acting completely normal. Anything else i can do to help the process?

soft, acidic water, i had a school of 12 in a 20 gallon tank heated at 80 deggrees f. i had marbals for a substrate, so the eggs fell into the cracks.
