i bought a palty fish back before christmas she very big i no she is prenant but has not had babies what is wrong with her and how can i get her to have her babies andb i another that is rthe same i leave my lights on my tank on all the time is that effecting them to have babies thank u

Leaving the lights on in the tank all the time is a recipe for disaster, and a timer is very inexpensive. You can buy them at Ralphs, even. What are your water parameters?
Let me get this straight. You got her before Christmas and she was not pregnant at the time of purchase. Now you think she is but she will not drop the babies. What other tank mates does she have? What are the water paremeters? Ammonia? Nitrite? Nitrate? Do you have enough cover for the babies to hide in when they are born? If not depending on the other tank mates, my guess is that the babies are being eaten after they are born.

Are you referring to your tank lights or your room lights? Tank lights should be left on from 10-12 hours every day.
