Pregnant swordtail

I have a female sword tail thats pregnant she give birth to three healthy looking fry a day ago but she is still looking very pregnant it looks like she is going to give birth again within a week. Is it normal to have such a small birth or a large birth over a cople of days? I think she is quite young maby 5 months so that might explain it.

She has give birth before one fry 2 months ago and then again 1 month ago the frys both died within a day. Luckly she doesnt seems very healthy and not a bit tired.

Well she might be stressed out and thats why she wont drop all together, what else is in ur tank, they might be eating ur fry.
Coincidently i have a large forever pregnant female and she gives birth to one or three fry, then more appear 3 weeks later. The only time she dropped more was when i put her in her aspecial set up tank for gravid live bearers for a week. with lots of plants and a few neons..

in the tank ive got 3 male sword tail(one with sword the other two without) 1 female, 9 male guppies a clown loach and some sort of snail. There are about 10 plants and quite a lot of hidy holes in decorations and things. The tank is 25galons with a fulval u4 filter and heated to around 24c and i do a water change every week of around 40%.

Your female sounds the same as mine she very rarely doesnt look pregnant.
