preparing for winter

do you think i should clean out my filter one last time before the winter comes?

I'm going to. And I'll probably do it yet again in December or so, before the water freezes over. (I do have a de-icer) The winters are long where I am, but they should be milder where you are, though. Still, it wouldn't hurt to keep it as clean as possible. By spring my filter is nasty. :crazy:

I'm waiting another month until all the leaves are down and then do a pre-winter cleanup.
